Free agent defensive back Michael Carter has signed with the Buffalo Bills, the team announced. Carter sat out the past season after going undrafted in 2013. He's a 5-foot-11, 189-pounder who played in 37 games for the University of Minnesota. His college career largely was disappointing until his 2012 senior season, when he had 49 tackles, 14 pass breakups and two interceptions. Carter ran the 40-yard dash in 4.63 seconds at his pro day before the 2013 draft.
